Betsey D. Fulkerson

d. February 3, 2019

Betsey D. Fulkerson, 41 of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away on February 3, 2019 after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer. She was very loved and will be greatly missed. Anyone who knew Betsey knows exactly why she will be so missed by so many people. She was a strong, kind, beautiful and hilarious woman.

Betsey was born on January 17, 1978 to Sherry Briggs Fulkerson. Betsey was raised in the Twin Falls area, moving to the Boise area for about a decade before returning to Twin Falls. Bets worked at Fred Meyer on Federal Way in Boise where she made some lifelong friends and worked for many years until health reasons forced her to leave.

She had a sensational sense of humor and could always make you laugh. She was so full of life. Her cats were her children and she loved them dearly.

She is survived by her sister Aimi Cantu of Boise, her brother Drew Fulkerson of Twin Falls ID, her cat Little, her amazing Aunt Ivy (Mark) Sherburne of Bellevue ID, her Uncle Tony (Josie) Wasko of Anchorage, Ak, her three nieces, CaRissa Cantu, Tascha Cantu, and Kaycie (Dylan) Dunlap. Great-nephews, Noah Fuller and Caius Dunlap, and a great-niece, Alaina Dunlap, her cousins, Emily Cooper, Ashby (Cara) Sherburne, Tessica Shields, Sam Wasko, and Chelle Heck, her very best friends Stacey Nelson and Joann Mcgiverly, as well as many more truly amazing friends.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Sherry Fulkerson, her loving Grandparents, Ben and Alice Briggs, her adored Aunt Shannon Wasko, her favorite cousin, Ben Heck, and her kitties, Leonard and Rowdy. Great grandparents, Ronald and Arntine Olson, and Ruby and Clyde Briggs.

A very special thank you from the very bottom of our hearts to Mary Shropshire and Visions Hospice for staying by her side day and night and for everything you did for Betsey in her last days. She very much appreciated you as well as all of her friends, family, and visitors who showed so much love and support to her. Thank you!

“DON'T BE SAD”
 by Betsey Fulkerson;
"This may be the end but I've loved every minute I've lived.
I made choices, I lived how I wanted, I have been a very happy, comfortable person.
All I have ever wanted was to keep my friends and family as happy as I was.
The family I built along the way is full of the most amazing group of people anyone anywhere could ever ask for.
I am truly the luckiest person in the world.
Thank you ALL so much for sharing a little bit of your time with me."

Betsey requested cheerful services full of bright colors and happy faces. So, on March 11th, 2019 at 1:00pm, there will be a Mardi Gras themed celebration of Betsey's life at Parke's Funeral Home in Twin Falls, Idaho.
