Janice Lee Mathers Sallee Pendleton, 86, passed away January 4, 2019 surrounded by her family. Janice was born to Lee and Ruby Mathers in Holstein, Nebraska October 25, 1932. During the depression/dustbowl years Lee left Nebraska in search of work, leaving behind Ruby and his 2 daughters Janice & Georgeianna. Lee found work in Idaho, and soon after sent for his wife and girls to join him in Kimberly. As the years went by Lee and Ruby bought a ranch south of Kimberly and added a son Bill to round out the family.
Janice graduated from Kimberly High School and recalled the construction of the L.A. Thomas Building while she was still in high school. Kimberly was the place that Janice called home for most of her life. She loved her family to the best of her ability and raised strong independent children and grandchildren with her unique brand of advice.
Janice is survived her sister Georgeianna Roberts and Sister-in-Law Lottie Mathers, her 4 children Lois (Mike) Nannini of Kimberly, ID, Chuck Sallee of Wells, NV, Carolyn (John) Lanting of Hollister, ID and Marilyn DeMers of Kimberly Idaho. 12 grandchildren and 16 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband Don Pendleton, mother Ruby, father Lee, and brother Bill Mathers.
