Joseph Glenn Walker

January 1, 1935 — September 24, 2018

Joseph “Glenn” Walker, age 83, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away at Canyon’s Retirement Community on Sept. 24, 2018, finally pain free. Glenn was born in American Falls, Idaho on Jan. 1, 1935 to Raymond and Lydia Bauman Walker. When his mother became too ill to care for the children, he was sent to the Children’s Orphanage in Boise, Idaho. He was there until the age of nine. He then went to an Aunt & Uncle in Pocatello, Idaho to be raised. He attended school in Pocatello. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the Army and spent his time serving his country in Japan and Korea. After his release from the Army, Glenn came back to American Falls, Idaho. Glenn went to work at FMC, Corporation in Pocatello and was employed there for 43 years. Glenn met Patricia Bowers before he left for the military, so they wrote to each other while he was serving his country. When he returned home, they started dating and soon their friendship turned into a more serious romance. In December he asked Patricia to marry him. July 24th, 1955 they were married at the Methodist  Church in American Falls, Idaho. To this marriage on April 8, 1958 our daughter Diana was blessed to the family. Glenn enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He took his daughter on many camping and fishing trips throughout his life. They enjoyed their many adventures; getting stuck in the mud, many river crossings, and being lost on Idaho’s many back roads. Glenn and Pat were snowbirds to Quartzsite, Arizona for 18 years. They had met many friends from all over the country. He is preceded in death by parents, one sister Dorothy Buzzard & a brother, Wesley Walker. He is survived by his wife, his only child, Diana Walker, Twin Falls, his Grandson Matthew (Viviana) Walker, Dallas, Texas and 3 great-grand daughters, Natalie, Rachael and Lauren Walker, Twin falls, Idaho. A special thanks to Canyon’s Retirement Community and Heritage Heath Services for the care they gave to Glenn. At Glenn’s request there will be no services at Parke’s Funeral Home in Twin Falls. Burial will be at American Falls Cemetery with a memorial tribute at 1:00 P.M.
