Lester C. Melugin, 53, of Gooding, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2018. He died peacefully at the home of his parents, Mike and Carol Kimball, of Twin Falls, Idaho after an extended illness. He was born in Guymon, Oklahoma in 1965, a graduate of Valley High School, Hazelton, Idaho and resided in the Magic Valley most of his life. He has one daughter, Carolyn Melugin, and one grandson, Malik Melugin, of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Lester had a great love of our country and was proud to serve in the United States Air Force for 12 years. He spent time stationed in South Korea and the Philippine's and actively participated in the Liberation of Kuwait and Desert Storm. After taking an early retirement from the service, he worked for U.S. Postal Service, until he permanently left the working force. He had a special way of loving and helping the needy, with grace and dignity; his laugh was contagious and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Kincheloe, his biological father Paul Melugin, and his beloved brother Carl Melugin. There will be a graveside service with Military Rites held for Lester at the Hazelton Cemetery on Monday June 4, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. under the direction of Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home.
