Coleen K. Wood

Coleen Wood, 78 of Scottsdale, Arizona, was taken from us way to soon but find comfort knowing that she will be home in heaven with the love of her life. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother (G.G.).Coleen was born in Kimberly, Idaho on June 23rd of 1940 to John M. self and Minnie Mozelle (Winchester) Self. Of Hollister, Idaho. She met the love of her life Gene Wood and they married on April 16th of 1960. Together they loved camping and fishing. They lived a wonderful life together with their children and later grandchildren. Coleen was an active member at her church, she continually prayed for others. Her prayer list was a mile long.

Coleen’s biggest pride and joy were her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She couldn’t wait to fly to Idaho to spend the summers with them. She cheered them on at sporting events, motor crosses and dance recitals. She would always look forward to four-wheeler rides in the mountains to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery. When it came time to leave she would always say “I’ll see you soon.”

Coleen is survived by her children Claude (Dolly) Gene Wood Jr. of Arizona, Diana (Terry) Grimes of Arizona, and Charlotte (Jim) Newton of Idaho. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandson. Also her brother Richard “Shorty” (Jayne) Self. She was proceeded in death by her Husband, Mother, Father, 2 Brothers, 1 Sister, and Aunts and Uncles.
