Pearl J. Peterson

July 23, 1940 — April 8, 2018

Pearl J. Peterson, 77, of Jerome, passed away April 8, 2018 at Creekside Care Center in Jerome.  She was born on July 23, 1940 in Globe, Arizona. Pearl was raised by Betty and Verg Blackmer. She lived may places during her life; some of which were, Phoenix, Arizona; Bartlesville, OK; Gooding, ID; Buhl, ID; and Jerome, ID.

Most of her older childhood years were spent in Buhl, ID and that is where she attended school.  At a very young age Pearl met the Love of her life Don Peterson. The young love birds married in 1955, when Pearl was 15 years old.  

Pearl was a real go getter she worked for Tupperware for 15 years until their closing; she then went to Lamb Weston until disability forced her to retire.

Some of Pearl’s fondest memories where marring Don, and having kids. She enjoyed cooking good hearty meals for her family. She was known for her famous homemade chicken and noodle soup, and she made them for several generations for her family. She could whip up a mean banana cream or lemon meringue pie, as well. She also enjoyed camping with the family and traveling to see new places with them. Pearl found joy in growing vegetables, and had a knack for canning. Pearly had a passion for dancing, she also loved roses and had a rose garden for many years. In her later years she enjoyed eating out, watching tv, and playing BINGO.

She is survived by her children – Donna (Dick) Vawser of Kimberly, Larry Peterson of Hailey, – son-in-law Steve Muecke of Heyburn; sisters - Millie Culberson of Buhl, Pat Warden of Indiana, Sara Bakeman of Niles, Michigan; Sharron Shauss of Coloma, Michigan; Wanda Craft of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother – Robert Stanneart of Niles, Michigan; grandchildren –Zach Davis, Amy Hansen, Jenny Schutte, Lacey Davis, Kari Skinner, and Donald Vawser; and nine great grandchildren – Jon & Moria Hansen, Matt, Zacc, and Jesse Schutte, Quinton & Conner Skinner, Weslie Vawser, and  Weston Davis. 

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents and her husband along with a daughter – Sherry Davis Muecke and a sister – Louise Stanneart.   She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Friends may call at a visitation at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, Idaho on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 AM, with funeral services to follow at 10:30A.M.  with burial to follow at the Wendell Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
