Matthew Kime

Matt Kime, 55, of Gooding, Idaho, passed away from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident on April 4, 2018.

Matt was born in Gordon, Nebraska, on April 17, 1962, to Alan and Margaret Kime.  He was the seventh of nine children born to this union.  He attended elementary school in a one-room rural school house in Nebraska until the family moved to Idaho in 1974.  He finished his high school education at Richfield High School in 1980.

Matt went on to earn his certificate in Diesel Mechanics at CSI, and helped many friends and family with their vehicle or tractor problems.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and good food.  Family gatherings that included Dutch oven cooking were his favorite.

“Uncle” Matt is survived by 11 brothers and sisters, 18 nieces and nephews, and 13 great-nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by both his parents, and his nephew, Chris.

A memorial service will be held at Parkes Magic Valley Funeral Home on April 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
