Wanda Ilene Brashier passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday March 14, 2018 in Hansen, Idaho. She was born October 18, 1928 in Burley, Idaho.
Wanda was the daughter of Jess and Mattie Turner and had 3 half-brothers: Harold M. Miller Sr., Joseph E. Miller, and Howard Miller; a half-sister Mildred (Miller) Stanley and two sisters June (Turner) Brashier, and Hellen (Turner) Bourn, who all have preceded her in death.
Wanda lived in Hansen, Idaho where she met the love of her life Basil Brashier. The couple married in Elko, Nevada on July 2nd 1948 and were happily married for 67 years, until his passing in 2015. In the years Wanda and Basil were married they had many great accomplishments, including building a house together and running their own trucking company.
Family was very important to her and she enjoyed having big dinners for them on her patio during the summer. Wanda loved her church family. It gave her great joy helping them, especially washing and drying the dishes after church events.
Wanda was an amazing women who loved everyone and everyone loved her. She will be missed greatly by all that knew her.
Wanda is survived by niece Connie Fenewald, nephew Gary (Julie) Bourn, great nieces Lacey (Henry) Jacobsen, April Brashier (Fiance Randy McPherson), Katie Pesek, and Lindsay (Tom) Tillotson and many many other great and great great nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held Monday March 19, from 5-7 P.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will take place Tuesday March 20th at 10:00 A.M. also at the Funeral Home.
