Gail Ray Shutt, 79, passed from this life on February 16, 2018. He bore his affliction and sufferings with great patience until death came as a relief when our dear Lord called him to his eternal home.
He was born January 25th, 1948 in Burwell, Nebraska to Raymond Shutt and Alice Shutt who preceded him in death.
Gail was a devout Christian. The Tuesday before his death he called his pastor and friend to his side. He told him that he was ready to meet Jesus. He often talked about the many that went before him and of his prayers for family and friends to live as to meet him in heaven.
He joins his beloved wife Carol Joy Shutt (Mix) in heaven, they would have been married 45 years this coming April.
Gail was father of five children, Thomas Alan Shutt (Meta Jeanne Montang-Shutt) - Logan, IA, Kathleen Denise Shutt preceded in death - Thornton, CO, Pamela Dawn (Shutt) Chavez (Conrad Gerald Chavez) - Thornton, CO , Bradley Allen Fuchs (Micki Lynn (Yardley) Fuchs) of Finley, WA , Crystal Cay (Fuchs) Tate (Phillip Irvin Tate) - Twin Falls, ID.
He was the loving Grandfather of nine, Jennifer Christine Herrera - O'Fallon, MO, Christopher Lynn (Fuchs) McCue (Jonathan Patrick McCue) - Beaverton, OR, Courtney Jordan Fuchs - Salt Lake City, UT, Bradley Allen Fuchs Jr - Spokane, WA, Jeffery Michael Miller (Sarah Kathleen (Bartlett) Miller) - Meridian, ID, Zachary Cole Fuchs - Finley, WA, Andrew Vincent Chavez - Thornton, CO, Casey Nicole Chavez - Thornton, CO, Sean Phillip Tate - Twin Falls, ID.
Gail had just began to touch the lives of his Great Grandchildren, Kaydence Rianne McCue, Jaymeson Ryleigh McCue, Abigail Reese McCue , Gretchen Ridley "Daisy" McCue, Lincoln Rainier McCue, Bastian Rube McCue, Audrey Sue Miller.
In Addition, he is survived by Raymond Shutt, his half brother, Ralph Martin, his cousin, and Mickey Shutt, his nephew.
A graveside ceremony with military honors will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. at the Twin Falls Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 4:00 P.M. at the Kimberly Church of the Nazarene, 3550 East 3750 North, Kimberly, ID 83341 with a reception and fellowship following.
His wished is that in lieu of flowers those monies should be donated to his church or a church of your choosing.
A precious one from us has gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled
The blessing his love had given
And though the body slumbers here
The soul is safe in Heaven
