Vlasta DeGiorgio Saunders

 Vlasta DeGiorgio-Saunders,95, of Twin Falls, ID, passed away Christmas Eve with her loving family by her side. Vlasta Stastny was born to Josef and Sophia Stastny on June 24, 1922.

She had 3 sisters and 4 brothers. She graduated from Murtaugh High School. She met Arthur “Art” DeGiorgio and married him in 1942. He passed away in 1977. Together they had two sons; Wayne, born in 1953 (Deceased), and Jeff born in 1960. In the 1980’s she found love again and married Lester “Les” Saunders who passed away in 2006.

 Vlasta loved being a wife and mother, going on trips, and family get togethers.  Her and Art managed Stuckey’s in Hazelton from 1973-1979 She later married Les they loved traveling, playing cards, and spending time with friends. Vlasta spent a lot of time gardening and baking. Her true calling came in 1988 when she became a grandmother to her only granddaughter Brianne. Who later blessed her with two great granddaughters Madilyn and Jaeleigh.

Vlasta is survived by Jeff DeGiorgio (son), Brianne Veenendaal (granddaughter), Madilyn Veenendaal (great granddaughter), Jaeleigh Veenendaal (great-granddaughter), Slava Kalisek (sister), Mike and Ruby Stastny (brother) and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Friday December 29, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held the following Saturday December 30, at 1:00 P.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, Idaho.
