Jimmie Harold Black, 72, of Twin Falls, went to be with his LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, on December 19, 2017, of complications of congestive heart failure and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
Jim married Linda Kay Gray Lottridge in 1967 in California. They had two daughters, Tanya (deceased as an infant), and Kimberly. They were later divorced.
Jim married Kelly on September 2, 1994, in Mesa, Arizona. They had had an interesting life living in Mesa, Arizona; Twin Falls and Filer, Idaho; Matthews, North Carolina, and back to Twin Falls.
Jim re-committed himself to His LORD in 2008 and began diligently studying the Word. He enjoyed nine years of serving Jesus and fellowshipping with his many fine friends at Saturday Morning Bible Study and Breakfast at the Depot Grill.
Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Rickie; his daughter, Tanya; and his father, Fred.
Jim is survived by his wife Kelly; his daughter, Kimberly (Alan) Shaw of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada; Mother, Velma Black of Edison, California; Brother Freddie Black of Oregon; Sisters, Barbara, Sue, and Pat of Bakersfield, California; step-son Cody Dong of Oahu, Hawaii; step-son, Zach (Jessica) Dong of Twin Falls, step-son Jeremy (Katie) Dong of Mesa, Arizona; step-son Retired Air Force Captain Brandon (Amy) Dong of Choctaw, Oklahoma; and step-son Steve Dong of Twin Falls. Jim is also survived by twelve wonderful Grandchildren: Erika, Ashley, and Joshua (Kimberly’s Children); Addie, Aubrey, and Titus and another one coming! (Zach and Jessica’s Children); Christian Connor, and Caden (Brandon and Amy’s Children); and Connor, Fenix, and Emmie (Jeremy and Katie’s Children). Jim had a heart for older people and loved and enjoyed all children!
Kelly wants to Thank Vision’s Hospice and Their Superior Nurses, especially Steve, Sue, Rose, Lettie, and Carl for all of their help and ministrations to Jim. Also, Mike and John of Visions Hospice.
Kelly also wants to thank all of Jim’s wonderful friends who have cheerfully helped us so much through the years: John Wilcox, Kent Snow, Bill Sweet, Richard Russell, Roger Shewmaker, Paul Mills, John Jesser, Harold, Mark, and many others! Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Friends may call at a visitation to be held Tuesday , December 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2511 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls. Funeral will be held Wednesday , December 27, at 11:00 A.M. at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date in Boise at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
