Patricia Marie Morgan

May 31, 1943 — December 16, 2017

Patricia Marie Morgan was born May 31, 1943 in San Francisco, California to Carl and Eileen Morgan.  The couple had moved to California in the 1930’s from Montana.  Carl was a longshoreman and involved with the founding of the International Longshoreman and Warehouse Union.  Pat was the third of their four children. 

When Pat was 5 years old, her family relocated to Poulsbo, Washington where they resided briefly before moving to Puyallup, Washington where she entered 4th grade. She excelled academically, was very social and made many friends.  When she was in 9th grade the family moved to Seattle where she attended Sealth High School and graduated in 1961.  She returned to San Francisco and attended college earning a Bachelor’s degree.  While there, the first of her two children, Tim, was born.  Her next move was to Spokane where she earned a Master’s degree in Social Work.  The second of her two children, Beth, was born in Spokane.  Upon graduation she continued working for United Way of Spokane.  After her children graduated from high school, Pat moved to Alaska and continued charitable work with a non-profit agency addressing needs of Native Alaskans for several years.  .

In 1991 Pat moved back to Washington to run the Walla Walla Alcohol and Drug Abuse Center.  In 1997 her career culminated in Twin Falls Idaho where she was the director for Family Health Services.  She retired in 2003.  Pat enjoyed travelling and visited both Europe and the Orient.  She was particularly fascinated by China which she and her sister visited.  Pat was an animal lover and always had more than one dog in her home.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bob Morgan and sister Mary Swenson.  She is survived by her daughter Beth Morgan, grandson Lucas Morgan, son Tim Morgan, grandsons Alexander and Nicholas Morgan; her brother Dan Morgan (Everson WA).  Pat was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and sister.
