Sally L. Weaver Thompson passed away at her home October 19, 2017 with her sons by her side at the age of 75. Sally was born in St. Helens, Oregon on March 24, 1942 to Harold and Edna Weaver. Sally met the love of her life, Monte Thompson while working at Stanton's Coffee shop. They married March 9, 1973 and raised their three sons, Bob, Mike and Dan. Sally and Monte were together until his death in 2007. Sally served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged as a SP4 in July 1964. Sally worked various jobs throughout her life including Six Rivers National Forest Nursery in McKinleyville, CA; Niagra Springs Fish Hatchery in Wendell, ID; Comfort Keepers of Twin Falls, ID; and as cook for the Wendell Senior Center.
Sally was always a mother first, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Sally is preceded in death by her husband Monte, sisters Betty Janke and Judy Weaver Mason, brother Jack Weaver, and her parents. Sally is survived by her son Bob (Lisa) Wratchford and grandchildren Westen and Reya; son Mike (Carla) Wratchford and grandson Nicholas; son Dan Wratchford and grandchildren Ryan, Brittnie, Gabriel and Nathon; brother Ron "Skeeter" (Donna) Weaver; and too many people to list that she considered dear friends.
Sally enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, dancing and any family adventures throughout her life.. Sally will be remembered for her many crafts including Christmas ornaments; doilies; angels; etc.; at the Crafty Corner and craft fairs around the Magic Valley where she shared many craft ideas, stories and laughter. She was always willing to care and cook for others as though they were family.
Sally was laid to rest by her sons at the Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho October 27, 2017
