Michael Otis McKee passed away Thursday September 14th, 2017. In Missoula Montana He was born in Tacoma,Washington at Matican Military Base to Dorothy and Victor McKee March 11, 1964. Mikes family traveled around a lot while he was growing up and he spent his childhood in Kentucky.
Where he graduated High School and attended college. Mike married his high school sweetheart and they had a beautiful daughter Lashawna. They were later divorced He decided to attend Beauty College and it turned out to be one his greatest passions. He moved to Twin Falls in 2002. And met Bob Giles with whom he spent the rest of his life with.Bob and Mike were married August 11th 2014 in Tacoma Washington. Mike attended and graduated from D & L Academy. He loved working in his Salon and building his Clientele. He also enjoyed working with Adults with disabilities at Inclusion South and WDB in Twin Falls. He always was very professional and worked well helping others. He was loved and respected by all the clients that he worked with.
His other passions were crocheting with his Grandma and making quilts with his Mom. From the time Mike was a young boy he had a passion for Christmas decorating and making Gingerbread houses with his Grandma Clapper. He loved cooking with his family and entertaining for the holidays and other special occasions He and his husband Bob enjoyed hosting dinner parties at their home. He enjoyed bowling on a league with Bob and his friends.
Camping at Anderson Ranch, Redfish and Camp Tuffit in Montana always brought him great joy. He enjoyed fishing with his Uncle Les, his Dad and any friends that would want to join him. He was always willing to travel for family reunions and other get-together's. During his last days he spent his time camping with his husband, Aunt, Uncle and Friends. While on this trip he caught the biggest fish and spent a lot of time playing yahtzee and laughing that laugh that only Mike could laugh with his family and friends.
He always enjoyed socializing and being around his family and friends. In the last year he was baptized and attended church with his family and Bob in Garden Valley. This helped him to feel more serene and get through the grief of losing his daughter.
He was a jokester,he loved teasing people and everyone always had fun being around him.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents his Aunt and Uncle Barbara and Jim Stewart. On August 24th 2015 Mike's beloved beautiful daughter Lashawna passed away. Mike leaves behind his husband Bob Giles two step children Chelsea and Josh (Amanda) Giles and three grandchildren Lashaya Aron, Nevaeh Aron and Elliot Giles. His loving parents Dorothy and Victor McKee. His sister Carla (Brad) Louison his sister Charlene McKee and his brother Greg McKee. 5 nephews and 2 nieces. He leaves behind his mother in law Mary Lou Giles his brother in law Jerry Giles and Sister in law Sherry (Fritz) James. Nephews - Cory Collins and his daughter Daisy May Collins, Jonathan Rowland and his daughters Kyleigh Stone and Karinza Rowland, Tony Silvaz, Brian (Carol) Weiler, Zachary Weiler, Jacob Daniel Esau Louison. Nieces - Keira Rae Louison, Angela and Pat Correll. Mike also leaves behind many Aunts,Uncles and cousins and A multitude of friends too many to list. Services for Mike will be on Monday September 25th at 10 AM. At Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. In Twin Falls Idaho.Mike lived his life to the fullest and was devoted to his family he will always be missed and forever loved by those who were blessed to know him.
