Peggy Colleen Kroll
Peggy Kroll passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 after a long battle with kidney failure. She was 68.
Peggy was born September 19, 1948 in Boise, ID, to Francis Bobbitt and Alaire Hamlin Bobbitt. She was the oldest of three sisters. She graduated from Borah High School in 1966. She attended the University of Idaho where she was a member of the Tri Delta sorority and graduated in 1970 with a degree in business education. After graduation, she taught high school for two years in Colton, WA, at a business college in Portland, OR for one year, and then returned to Idaho to teach at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls. It was after moving to Twin Falls that she met Fred Kroll, and the two were married June 4, 1977. Peggy retired early from teaching in order to have time at home to raise their daughter, Jennifer, and to travel with Fred's work at the Twin Falls Coca-Cola Bottling Company.
Peggy was very active in the community. She was a member of PEO, the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a Past Honored Queen and Past Grand Guardian of the state of Idaho for Job's Daughters. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she participated in the choir and bell choir. She loved music and singing, and was a member of the Magic Valley Chorale.
In her spare time, Peggy loved to read, garden, bake, craft, sew, and do word-search puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with her beloved granddaughters.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred, and infant daughter Stephanie. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Matt) Sonnichsen, sisters Suzanne McCampbell and Nancy (David) Emerson, sister-in-law Barbara (Frank) Lyons, granddaughters Charlotte and Genevieve Sonnichsen, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to all of the caregivers and friends who have showed such love and compassion to Peggy and the family over the past few months.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 15, 2017. A viewing from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM and service at 12:00 PM will take place at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls.
