Lili Mae (McCoy) McClure passed away Tuesday September 5, 2017 at her home in Twin Falls with her twin daughters by her side. Lili Mae had been suffering from a long illness and had just celebrated her 89th birthday with her family on August 22.
Lili Mae was born to Ora Guy and Dollie (Cullum) McCoy on August 22, 1928 in Luray, Kansas where she was raised with her two brothers and four sisters. Lili Mae married Clifford LeRoy McClure after the war in 1946 and moved to Twin Falls to start their family. They were blessed with four children; Mike, Deanna, Joyce and JoAnn. Mae worked for Mountain Bell for many years as a telephone operator and eventually retired from the company.
In her spare time, Mae enjoyed fishing, camping, and in her retirement, traveling in the R.V. with her husband. She was an amazing crafter and loved to crochet for her children and even taught several grandchildren needlepoint and sewing. Mae was a handy woman to have around for she could fix almost anything. She could also be found playing cards with the girls over coffee.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Ora and Dollie, brothers; Denzel and Garold, sisters; Beulah, Bernice, and Doris, husband; Clifford LeRoy, grandson; David McClure
She is survived by her sister; Ethel McClure, son; Michael McClure (Sheila), daughters; Deanna Miszczenko (Walt), JoAnn Mikesell (Rick), Joyce Shaw (Gene), eleven grandchildren and 27 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to sincerely thank all the people who worked with Lili Mae in the last few moments of her life. We appreciate everything that was done for her.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Twin Falls Cemetery; administered by Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home.
