Joyce Knox Anderson

Joyce Knox Anderson, 88, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.  

Joyce was born on August 19, 1929, in Wichita Falls, Texas to Grover Cleveland and Ina Lee (Satterwhite) Knox. At age 2 her family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho where she graduated in 1947. After living in Nampa, Maryland, and Boise, she returned to Twin Falls in 1972 where she lived the remainder of her life.

Joyce developed her love of telephones at a young age working with her mother at Knox Answering Services. Her telephone operator career continued throughout her life and ended with 32 years of service at the Department of Health and Welfare.

Joyce met and married J.S. Andy Anderson in 1982. They loved cooking, camping, fishing, and gardening. The love for their family and friends was known by all! You were always welcomed to their home with a warm cup of coffee, home cooked meal, and lively conversation. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by daughter, Karla (Rex) Williams; 7 granddaughters, Devri (Chad) McCammon, Tara (Brent) Rowland, Melanie Baldwin, Melissa (Mat) McCollough, Rachel (Matthew) Baggett, Michelle (Ashley) Smith, and Rozlynn Baldwin; great-grandchildren Chloe, Halee, Mikayla, Kendyl, Isabella, Pemberlee, Rowen, and Alexander; 3 sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joyce was preceded in death by husband JS ‘Andy’ Anderson; son, Thomas Baldwin; 4 siblings; and parents.  

Viewing will be held at Twin Falls Reformed Church on Saturday, Sept. 9, 11:30 am; funeral will follow at 1:00. Burial following at Twin Falls Cemetery.
