Dolores Elaine Hoover, aged 81, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2017, surrounded by her friends at Oak Creek Rehabilitation Center in Kimberly, Idaho.
Dolores (Dee) was born to John and Elizabeth Teske in Billings, Montana on June 20, 1936.
As was prevalent at the time, Dee experienced some hardships and strife during early childhood, yet she emerged a strong, determined, vibrant young woman. At the age of 16, Dee left home to set out on a new chapter of her life. She met Albert Hoover, and the two married under a weeping willow in Jerome Idaho on October 3rd, 1953. Dolores and Al shared their love of the outdoors, spending time hunting, fishing, and camping. They enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends and family. Their greatest joys were the births of their two sons Jerry (Pamela), born on November 22, 1955, and Eddy (Janet Lee), born on August 12, 1958.
Dee loved music. She was talented at playing the piano, accordion, and guitar. She loved to sing. She loved bingo and trips to Jackpot. A baker, and an amazing cook, she never failed to delight the crowds of family and friends on the holidays. Her pies were legendary. Dolores could crack a joke like no other. Her laughter was quite contagious.
Dee is survived by her two brothers,
Eugene Teske and Don Barnhart, two grandchildren, Jeremy (Kim) Hoover, and Daniel (Wendy) Hoover and two great-grandchildren Zakk and Kole, whose presence gave her great joy.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, John Teske and Elizabeth Ryman, her husband
Albert Hoover, and her two sons Jerry and Eddy Hoover.
