Isabella "Joyce" Peters

Isabella “Joyce” Peters, 74, of Twin Falls, passed away August 2, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 17, 1943 in Twin Falls and was raised in Contact, NV.  She attended school in Contact and Wells Nevada then Joyce went on to attend beauty school in 1963.  She was a school bus driver for 34 years for the Filer School District, having the same route in Hollister for all 34 years.  Joyce was a 4-H leader, Sunday school teacher and assisted with the Hollister PTA.  She was an avid cook and quilter who loved arts and crafts of all types.  Joyce was also a breast cancer survivor.

She is survived by her loving husband Gerrit Peters of Twin Falls, their children - Elmer Peters of Hollister, Mike Peters of Twin Falls, Debra Peters (Charles Donaldson) of Hailey and Allen Peters (Lauren) of Twin Falls.  In addition she leaves behind one  brother - Bill Weighall (Holly) of Grand Junction, CO, two sisters - Margaret Forsyth and Nancy Watson, both of Contact, NV and her pride and joy, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, she was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Isabella Weighall.

Friends may call at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home, Sunday, Aug. 6, from 5:00-7:00 PM.  A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 2:00 PM at the Community Presbyterian Church, 2461 Central Ave., Hollister, ID.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Hollister Community Presbyterian Church by mail to 2604 N 2700 E, Twin Falls, ID 83301.
