Jack Dixon

Jack Dixon, age 78, of Hansen,Idaho, passed away at Bridgeview Estates on June 14, 2017, of complications following a sudden illness.

Jack was born in Correctionville, Iowa on September 3, 1938 to Ellis and Mildred Dixon. He graduated from Correctionville High School, served his country in the Navy for 4 years, and then followed in his father’s footstep in bridge construction.

Jack met his wife, Marlene Bateman in 1961 and married her in Sioux City, Iowa in 1962. 

Jack was a kind, hard working man,a devoted husband, and loving father who loved his family with great immensity. 

Jack was predeceased by his beloved wife Marlene on June 14, 2002. He is survived by his daughter, Joni Stanger, of Gilbert, Arizona,  daughter, Jackie (Harry) Woodward, of Battlecreek, Iowa and son, Jeffrey (Michelle) Dixon of Leander, Texas, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and his sister Donna Madison of Burnsville, Minnesota. Jack is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Dixon. 

A private family celebration of Jack and Marlene’s life will be held on the Oregon Coast at a later date.
