John Edward Christlieb 73,
John was born December 1, 1943 in Glendale, California to Wilford and Bernice Christlieb. John loved the outdoors and water. He joined the Navy in 1962, boarding the U.S.S. Maury, a geological survey ship. Where he moved up in rank, where he also made fresh water, from salt water.
In Civilian life he grew to love fly-fishing making his own fly-rods, which he continued to do for more than 30 years. Opening the “Western Angler” fly-shop in Santa Rosa, California in the 1980’s. He continued building Fly-Rods under the name “JC Rods”.
John accepted our Lord and was baptized on January 29, 1995 at Sierra Baptist Church, Pioneer, California. He was a member at Hansen Baptist Fellowship.
John was a Staunch Conservative Republican, Card carrying member of the N.R.A.
At the time of his passing, John was someone that everyone knew and respected. John left behind his wife Marianne of 33 years, son Donald Christlieb and step-sons Dale, William and Christopher Rendo, Sister Patricia Christlieb of Redding, California she loved her brother and sends her condolences.
He will be dearly missed by friends and family alike. Friends may call on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 5-7 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Monday June 5, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd, Twin Falls, Idaho.
