Joyce Louise Williamson, age 76, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away in Meridian on May 6, 2017 after an extended illness.
Joyce was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on January 5, 1941 to Grace and J. Oakey Church. She graduated from Jerome High School in 1959 and was training to be a nurse at Sacred Heart Medical in Spokane when she met the love of her life, Jerry, who she later married in 1961.
Joyce loved playing pinochle and bingo, knitting and crafting, as well as fishing, camping and hunting. She and Jerry loved spending their winters in Quartzsite, Arizona where they met many lifelong friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Dawn Williamson, and three brothers, Robert Church of Salem, Oregon, Don Church of Jerome, Idaho and Richard Church of Missoula, Montana.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Williamson, daughter Lana Davis of Payette, Idaho, son Kevin Williamson of Boise, Idaho, grandchildren Ashley Melvin of Kodiak, Alaska, DJ Williamson of Twin Falls, Idaho, Jordan Davis of Caldwell, Idaho, Brody Williamson of Twin Falls, Idaho and Amanda Davis of Boise, Idaho, as well as 4 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, Idaho, on Friday, May 19 at 1:00.
