Barbara Hansen

Barbara Hansen, 72 of Boise, passed away April 30, 2017 at the Southwest Idaho Advance Care Hospital in Boise.  She was born on May 22, 1944 in Bakersfield, California, the daughter of Fritz and Jacqueline Kimbriel. 

She attended school in Bakersfield and went on to work as an accountant.  On December 19, 1999, she married the love of her life Lars Hansen in Reno, Nevada.  Barb loved the outdoors many great memories were made camping, traveling in their RV, boating and going on cruises.  She took a total of seven cruises, loving everyone.  In addition to her outdoor hobbies, she loved computer games, jig saw puzzles and always decorated her home for the holidays.  To say that Barb decorated was and understatement, her home was decorated both inside and out from floor to ceiling, always with taste and style. 

Surviving are her husband – Lars of Boise, children – Mark Parker of Boise, Peter Hurst of Chico, California, Paul Hurst Chico, California and Lars Hansen JR. of Elko,, NV siblings – Brian (Kristy) Oden of Manteca, CA, Keith Oden of California, Denise Owen of Boise, Sandra O’Brien of California, and Suzie Cantrell of Oklahoma, grandchildren – William, Ryan, Phillip and Bryce, and great grandson Theo, along with six nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews, and seven great great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Tammy Pritchett.  Barb will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at the Cremation Society of Idaho, 5541 W Overland Rd, Boise.  Those who wish may share memories and condolences on her memorial page at www.magicvalleyfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
