Hallie Colene Presnell Dickard

  April 12, 1926-April 28, 2017

Hallie was born in Murtaugh, ID on April 12, 1926, to Marie and Louis Presnell and passed away on April, 28, 2017, at her home south of Twin Falls, Idaho. 

She grew up on a farm south of Kimberly often helping her grandmother cook for the crews at her grandfather’s gravel pit.  She married the love of her life, Joyce Dickard on April 30, 1943, in Kimberly, ID, and they would have celebrated their 74th anniversary this month.

As well as making a wonderful home for Joyce and their two sons, she cared for numerous cats, dogs, farm animals and humming birds. She loved gardening, raising enough food for her family and her neighbors as well.  Her greatest joy in life came from being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She often helped care for her younger brothers and sisters as well.

Hallie is survived by her two sons, Jerry (Chris) Dickard and Gary (Gerrie) Dickard , all Kimberly ID, a brother Joe (Ruby) Presnell , Othello, WA and two sisters, Mary Ann Miller, Twin Falls, Betty Lou Hranac, Boise,   as well as 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 


She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Joyce, grand-daughter, Sheila Dickard, brothers: Jack Presnell, Bob Presnell, Raymond Presnell, Max Presnell and sister, Dorothy Weeks.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, May 4, 2017, and the funeral will be held Friday, May 5, 2017, at 2:00 pm at Parke’s Magic Valley  Funeral Home , Twin Falls, ID.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
