Helen Mae Cunningham

June 9, 1940 — February 12, 2017

After a courageous battle with cancer, Helen Mae Cunningham, age 76 of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away at home in the arms of her husband on February 12, 2017. 

Helen was born in Buhl, Idaho on June 9, 1940 to Flossie and Jerry Jess.  In 1949, Helen was adopted by her aunt Myrtle and Clayton Phillips.  She graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1958.

Helen met the love of her life at the Red and White Drive In and they were married April 27, 1958.  This year they would have celebrated 59 years together.

Helen was the benefit administrator at Idaho Frozen Foods changing to Con Agra Foods for 23 years until she retired in 2002.  After retirement, she and her husband loved golfing and attending all the sports activities of their grandchildren, Courtney and Cody Cunningham.

Helen is proceeded in death by her mother Myrtle DeFord, father Clayton Phillips, sisters Laura Bowen and Viola Barnes.  She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lyle, daughters Holly Cunningham, Susan (Troy) Perkins, son Brian (Carol) Cunningham, grandchildren Courtney Cunningham, Cody Cunningham, and brothers Carl Jess, Butte MT and Daniel Jess, Ontario, OR.

A celebration of life will be held at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home on February 17,2017 at 2:00 p.m.
