Cheryl Ann Uptain Ringenberg
1948 ~ 2017
Cheryl Ann Uptain Ringenberg, age 68 of Twin Falls, Idaho left us on February 8, 2017 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
Cheryl was born on March 15, 1948 in the old County Hospital in Twin Falls to parents, Clinton Kennedy Uptain and Shirley Bell Wigington. Cheryl lived in Buhl, Idaho where she attended school graduating in 1966. After graduation in the fall of 1966, Cheryl went to Salt Lake City, Utah and attended Stephen Henegar’s Business College where she earned a degree in Business in 1968. She worked for a short time for Electro Controls before returning back to Buhl, Idaho and met up with her high school sweetheart, Arnold (Arnie) Dean Ringenberg. They were married on September 26, 1970 at Elko, Nevada.
Cheryl worked for Shotwell’s Electric in Twin Falls from 1970 to 1979. She also worked briefly at Intermountain Gas and the old Paris. In 1984, she started her long career with Twin Falls County where after 30 years, Cheryl retired as Veterans Service Officer on April 30, 2014.
Cheryl enjoyed life to the fullest with her many activities. She loved driving her 1938 blue Chevy Coupe, going on razer rides in the desert, loves traveling and cruising with both family and friends, making Heritage books for many of her family and friends, water aerobics of the Y and walking with her dear friend, Carol Lee. But nothing was as enjoyable as watching her two granddaughters, Palmer and Quinn whom she loved with all her heart.
She was also involved with the Magic Valley Early Iron where she served as secretary and activities director. She was Deaconess at the Rock Creek community Church for over eight years. Cheryl also belongs to the Clear Lakes Country Club and love to golf in her earlier years.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, parents, Clinton and Shirley Uptain and now is survived by her best friend, lover and husband, Arnold (Arnie) Dean Ringenberg of Twin Falls. Cheryl also leaves behind two sons, Jason (Kindsey) Ringenberg along with granddaughters Palmer Ringenberg and Quinn Ringenberg, , Jacob (JD) Laurie Ringenberg all of Twin Falls. Her brother, Craig (Marcella) of Boise, Idaho along with one aunt, Louise Burkhalter of Castleford, Idaho and one uncle Roy (Phyllis) Uptain of Buhl, Idaho and several cousins.
Cheryl would like to thank Misti for all their support, and her best friends Joan Spencer, Carol Lee, Terry Mabie and Carol Prater who helped her through her cancer by daily phone calls, coming over and sitting with her and also providing great food.

Cheryl's Family will receive guests at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5:00 ~ 7:00 P.M.
A Celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Rock Creek Community Church 262 Fifth Avenue East Twin Falls, Idaho.
