Curtis Scott, age 69, of Jerome, Idaho, passed away on December 29, 2016, of complications from cancer.
Curtis was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 3, 1947 to Curtis and Rosemary Scott. He graduated from Bethel-Tate High School in 1966 and attended Kent State where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science on December 12, 1970.
Curtis met his future wife Terri Thomas at a co-worker’s party. They were married December 8, 1973 in Springfield, Virginia.
He came to know his Father God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit late in life but was a man of faith at his death. Curtis loved computers, doing projects around his home, gardening, fishing, and camping. He worked as a geologist with Bechtel and then went to work for the S. F. Bay Water Board from which he retired in 2009. He was very proud of his children – Patrick, Eric & Deidra.
He is survived by his mother Rosemary Scott, his brother Mark and sister Kirby, his wife Terri, son Patrick, son Eric, daughter Deidra and 3 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Northridge Fellowship, 2 Ridge Loop, Jerome, Idaho, on Thursday, January 5 at 4:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held in Duchesne, Utah on Friday, January 6 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Curtis to either Northridge Fellowship (2 Ridge Loop Road, Jerome ID 83338) or Huntsman Cancer Institute (huntsmancancer.org, select “donate”).
