Charles N. Damele

Charles would like to let you know that his ranching here is done. He has received a call for which he could not refuse as he will be riding his horse Barney on the Heavenly range above and watching over us.
Charles was born in the Ely, white Pines County Hospital to Charlie and Nita Damele in 1936.
Upon graduation from Eureka County Schools he was involved in the Family Ranching Business. In 1958 he, R. D. Damele and Earle Borgna bought the Eureka Garage and operated it for a few years until he and R. D. started a construction company in 1965. In 1961 Charles rode his horse Barney in the 100 year reenactment of the Pony Express receiving one of the fastest times in the State of Nevada. In 1979 he opened his own welding business C-D Welding and contracted to many of the mines in Northern Nevada while operating a ranch in Lamoille, NV. In 1993 he moved his family to a larger ranch In Richfield, ID where he followed his ranching passion until the call came.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Stephen Damele & R. D. Damele. He is survived by his wife Patty and 4 children, Marie, Paul, Kathy of Richfield ID, and Matt of Dallas, TX. He was loving called Papa by his 4 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
