Philip Gene Adamson Sr. was born to Walter and Josephine Adamson November 29, 1927 in Los Angeles California, died November 3, 2016 at his home in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his brothers Lawrence, Joseph, Don, Matt, William (Buddy), and Victor. Daughter Marie Adamson. Surviving family, his sister Mary Crews, Philip Gene Adamson Jr. (Joan), Carol Virginia Adamson Wimer (George), Janice Adamson Techick (Terrell). Six grandchildren, Joseph Adamson, Jennifer Brannon, Autumn Jones, Cole Ulrich, Kelly Adamson, Tim Techick. Two great grandchildren Dylan Jones and Jessica Brookbank. Philip married Leona (Kelly) Pool February 12, 1952. Leona died May of 1993. Philip married Mardelle Olsen in 2003. Mardelle died September of 2015. Philip served in the Navy during World War II from May 1945 to August 1946. He was trained as Barber at Moore’s Barber School in Los Angeles, California. He worked as a carpenter building houses in Los Angeles, California. Philip and Leona moved to Idaho in 1959 where they raised their four children. Philip worked many years in the building industry at Volco Building Supplies and Ernest Home Builders. He was award employee of the month several times and employee of the year while working at Ernest. He loved to watch baseball and finally fulfilled a lifelong dream of visiting Italy, which he did with Mardelle in 2008.

His quick wit and sense of humor stayed with him even up to the very end, So goodbye “Papa” you are in heaven now, as Jesus promises us this, for those who believe in Him.
