James Stewart

James E. Stewart, 80, of Jerome, formerly of Twin Falls, passed away October 22, 2016 at Cedar Draw Care Center in Filer.  He was born on December 5, 1935, the son of Dean and Thora Josephine Lund Stewart. 

Throughout his life James enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and animals.  He had a talent for woodworking and enjoyed bowling and trap shooting as well.   He worked for Brizee Heating for over forty years.  His family shared many memorable moments while duck hunting.  He loved playing basket ball in his youth.  His family remembers his fairness and rock solid nature.  He was the non-wavering foundation of the family and was a man of few words who could correct any situation with just his look.  James was a very devoted husband and family man who loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. 
 
He is survived by his children - sons - Jamey (Natalie), Joel, Jesse, and Cody all of Twin Falls, daughters - Kally (Kelly) Schiffler of Jerome, Kim (Anthony) Brodin of Twin Falls, and Melissa (Lance) Michaud of Henderson, Nevada, Sisters - Darla Culley and Dallas Docksteader, along with 16 Grandchildren and 15 great Grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Barbara, Son - Jimmy Race Stewart, Sisters - Linda Grende, and Sheryl Gleed and brother Bud Overstreet.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Friends may call on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 6 - 8 P.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home with burial following at the Twin Falls Cemetery.
