Holley J. “Jay” Hill, age 65 of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away at Ashley Manor surrounded by his loving family on August 28, 2016 from a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Jay was born in Ashton, Idaho to loving parents Ronald Jessie Hill and Edna Viola Wilcox Hill on August 12, 1951. He graduated from Madison high school in 1969 where he was later employed with his brother, Gary Hill and Verl Bird at PDQ Auto Shop as an auto mechanic for 17 years. He spent the next 24 years as a Matco tools distributor in Twin Falls, Idaho. Jay met and married the love of his life, Lana Jean Rutledge of Rigby, Idaho on November 6, 1970 in the Rigby Presbyterian Church. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 1, 1974. Jay loved to spend time with his family and the outdoors, including camping, waterskiing and snowmobiling. In later years, he enjoyed writing his BMW motorcycle with friends and his fun loving wife Lana. They enjoy trips to the Pacific Northwest, Banff and Jasper National Parks. Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Viola Wilcox on June 21, 1962, his father Ronald Jessie Hill on January 21, 1979, sister Bonnie Colleen Lake, on January 19, 2012 and brother Gary Hill, on March 31, 2015. He is survived by his four children, daughter Valynn (Reed) Baker of Cedar Hills, Utah; daughter Anna Marie (Robert) Hansen of Twin Falls, Idaho; son, Joseph Hill (Brian Burpee) of Seattle, WA; daughter Amanda (Gary) Wight of Layton, Utah and 14 wonderful grandchildren. Visitation for Jay will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls. Funeral services for Jay will be held Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints Stake, 2nd Ward, 541 Orchard Dr., Twin Falls, ID. Interment will be held Friday, September 2, 2016 at 3:30 PM at the Sutton Cemetery in Sunny Dale, Idaho.
