D. Paul Remaley, age 70, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on August 24, 2016, at St. Lukes Hospital in Twin Falls. Paul was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, on September 22, 1945, to Delbert Paul and Letha Remaley. He graduated from Brockway Area High School in 1964 and later attended West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, West Virginia where he met his life-long sweetheart, Sue. Paul and Sue were married on December 27, 1967, in Beckley, West Virginia. Paul graduated from Idaho State University in 1972 with his B.A. degree in Education. Paul loved to be with his family, enjoyed the great outdoors, and never missed an opportunity to travel. This might be in an RV, driving a coach bus, or in a car. He was an avid camper and loved his woodworking. He taught in the Twin Falls School District for 35 years and touched the lives of numerous people throughout those years. He was also very active in the Filer United Methodist Church. Paul was a member of Twin Falls Masonic Lodge #45, Twin Falls Chapter #29, Order of the Eastern Star, Garnet Court Order of the Amaranth, and El Korah Shrine. Closest to his heart was his work with the Job’s Daughters. He also enjoyed his time working with the Board of Directors for Pioneer Federal Credit Union. Paul is survived by his wife Sue, mother, Letha, daughter Sherawn (Brian) Reberry; Boise, Idaho; sons Trey (Angie) Remaley, Wesley Chapel, Florida; Derek (Courtney) Remaley, Beckley, West Virginia, and five beautiful grandchildren: Kelsy (Chris) Skidmore, Elli Reberry, Tylah and Madison Remaley, and Eli Remaley. He is also survived by his siblings Paula (Sean) von Lindern, Boise, Idaho; Wesley (Benita) Remaley, Jerome, Idaho; and Philip (Sonja) Remaley, Yerington, Nevada. His father Rev. Delbert Paul Remaley preceded him in death in 2010. Memorial donations may be given to the Filer United Methodist Church, Twin Falls Chapter #29 Scholarship Fund, or the Shriners Hospital. Paul’s viewing will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 28, at Parke’s Funeral Home in Twin Falls. The funeral will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, August 29, at Roper Auditorium at Twin Falls High School. Following the funeral there will be a graveside service for family.
