David "Dave" Jonathan Hancock

February 7, 1971 — August 19, 2016

David Jonathan Hancock left this world to be in the arms of Our Heavenly Father on August 19, 2016 following a heart attack. David was born February 7, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He grew up most of his life on a farm near Hollister, and attended schools in Hollister, Twin Falls, Filer and Las Vegas.  Many of his childhood friends remain friends to this day.  David loved the outdoors and his many animals.  He loved Idaho and his lifestyle in the rugged outdoors. His hobbies included fishing, rebuilding antique cars and his motorcycles. He worked many jobs and was well known for his custom welding and his custom furniture creations.  His girls, Hannah Hancock and Katie Hancock are his”Everything”. Surviving David are his beloved daughters, Hannah and Katie Hancock of Las Vegas, Nevada, and their mother Emily Williams.  His mother and stepfather, Bill and Pepper Rayl of Filer, Idaho. His father and stepmother, Don and Sharon Hancock of Las Vegas, Nevada.  His companion of nearly a decade, Terry Taylor and her children Samantha, Jax and Strydar of Buhl, Idaho.  His brothers, Wayne Hancock of Boise, Idaho and Greg Hancock of Twin Falls, Idaho. Stepsisters, Debra Rayl and family of Citrus Heights, California, Pamela Rayl and husband Ron of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lisa Rayl and husband Rob Branning of Klamath Falls, Oregon. Stepbrother, Kenneth Rayl and family of Kaysville, Utah.  David was born on his Aunt Cathy’s birthday and loved her very much. She resides in Montgomery, Alabama. His uncle, Pat Petruny and family live in Mason, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and extended family, too many to mention by name, that will miss him greatly.  A celebration of David’s life will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, ID.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105… Forms for Donation will also be provided at the services.  All services and arrangements are under the direction of the funeral home.
