Petra Wilma Drotar

April 13, 1932 – June 13, 2016

Petra Drotar died peacefully at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho on June 13, 2016. She was born to Millicent Grace (Larsen) and Robert Henry Sheldon in Boise, Idaho on April 13, 1932. She was one of thirteen children born to Millicent and Robert. All her siblings preceded her in death.

She married Bill Rolfe in 1949. They had two sons; Billie Rolfe Jr. and Don Rolfe. They later divorced. Both Bill Rolfe and Billie Rolfe Jr. preceded her in death.

She married Elias (Duke) Drotar in November 1970. They celebrated 45 years of marriage before Duke passed away in February 2016.

She was a waitress for most of her career and worked hard to support her family. She especially enjoyed working at the Denver Elks Lodge when Duke was a member, coordinating banquets and special events.

She is survived by her son, Don Rolfe, two step-daughters, Cher Coulter and Kathryn Walker, and two step-sons, Rev. Kent Drotar and Kirk Drotar. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, living in Colorado, California, Idaho, Missouri and Kansas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews throughout the Western United States.

She and Duke enjoyed the outdoors, loved to go camping, fishing and hunting. She was an amazing gardener. Her flower beds of all varieties of flowers were a joy to her and to all who visited her home.

She will be sadly missed by her friends and family but she will stay in our hearts and our memories like a beautiful flower in bloom.
