Aileen Louise Lindemood passed away peacefully with her Children by her side on May 30, 2016. She was born on March 7, 1927 to Ralph and Betty Barkes in Los Angeles California.
She lived her childhood years in Tuscon, Arizona, Pasco and Longview Washington. Aileen's senior year in high school the family moved to Murtaugh Idaho. The following year she attended the University of Idaho where she met George H. Lindemood. They were married on December 29, 1946 and resided in the Twin Falls area. To this Union 5 children were born. They were later divorced. Aileen worked hard raising her 4 boys and daughter. She worked at Thiesen Motors and also State Farm Insurance until her retirement. She was very active in her church (Lynwood Chapel). Aileen was also involved in Sweet Adeline's and Toastmistress. She was always into something from selling Wise-way and Tupperware to her cure all "Noni". She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and sewing.
Aileen's children were her life and legacy. She was very proud of each one and let everyone know it. She like all Grandparents cherished and loved her Grandchildren. She always looked forward to when all her family would get together. Mom raised us well. Mom was devoted to her Savior and prayed daily for all of us. Getting us to church was her priority. Mom was known for being the "meanest mom on the block". We often talked about her big stick and we all knew who was her "favorite". Mom you will forever be remembered and missed. Give our Doug a big hug. We love you.
Aileen was predeceased by death by her parents Ralph and Betty Barkes, Brother Richard, and her Son Doug. She is survived by her children - Wayne (Jo-Ann) Vancouver, WA, Neal (Sandy) Boise ID, John (Susan) Kimberly ID, and Julie (Jim) Hansen Kimberly ID, Sister Judy Walker, and her Brothers Leland and Paul Barkes, thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
