David Allen Molyneux

David Allen Molyneux, 63, of Kimberly, Idaho, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 7, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, July 22, 1952 to Marvin and Sally Molyneux.

In 1956, the family moved to Picabo to live on afarm, where Dave's love of riding a tractor started. He was 7 when he drove his first tractor and he knew farming was what he wanted to do.

Dave's family continued farming when they returned to Twin Falls in 1962, then moved to Kimberly in 1967. His farming involvement grew and grew each year.

Dave was a team player in football, basketball and track at Kimberly High School and was the Student Body President, his Senior year. He was a graduate of the class of 1970.

In 1979, Dave married Jeanne Andreason and together they had three children, Megan, Derek and Adam. He

loved watching each of them participate in sports and encouraged them to work hard and do their best. He spent time helping them with homework, especially math, when necessary.

As Dave continued farming, he also found time to cook for others, especially his church family. He prepared breakfast for the men every Saturday, then led a Bible study. People looked forward to enjoying his meals over the years. Dave had a gift to lead others to Jesus and was able to share scriptures and his testimony openly.

This past Easter, a very special time was spent with his grandchildren. Papa Dave shared the Easter story with them, focusing on the love Jesus has for each of them. He treasured each opportunity he had with his grandchildren and loved hearing their stories about school, church and sports.

Dave is survived by his parents, Marvin and Sally Molyneux of Kimberly; children, Megan (Jayson) Arrington of Boise, ID; Derek Molyneux (Kendra) of Meridian, ID; Adam Molyneux (Tessa) of Twin Falls, ID; sisters, Carole Molyneux of West Jordan, UT; Chris Perry (Ellis) of Boise, ID; Lois Molyneux of Canby, OR; and 8 grandchildren.

The family is so thankful to the wonderful staff at St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute for their never ending care and love for our dear Dave, Dad, Papa.

A celebration of Dave Molyneux's life will begin at 10:00 on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Valley Christian Church, 1708 Heyburn Avenue East, Twin Falls, ID.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Dave's church to help fund the monthly Agape (love) meal. His love of helping others would shine through as he prepared and served the meal for many years. Checks payable to: The Church, 1708 Heyburn Ave East, Twin Falls, ID 83301
