LaDonna Earlene Seeley

November 17, 1944 — April 15, 2016

LaDonna Earlene Hubler Carnell Seeley, age 71, of Buhl, Idaho, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016, at her home.

LaDonna was born November 17, 1944 in Baker, Oregon to Lula and Fred Hubler. She was one of four children. She attended school in Pine Valley.

She met Melvin Leroy Carnell in Halfway, Oregon following his service tour of duty. They were married in 1961. They had 7 children, 6 boys and 1 girl.

The family lived in Halfway, Oregon where Melvin and LaDonna worked to remodel the house they rented while working the farm. They also lived in California where Melvin worked in the orange groves. They moved to Idaho where Melvin worked as a concrete pump operator. They were divorced in 1990, but stayed close friends. LaDonna took care of Melvin through 2 life threatening accidents and she stayed by his side through his fight with lung cancer, until his passing on September 1, 2011.

LaDonna liked to work in the garden. She was frequently found puttering around the back yard. She also loved to keep in touch with friends and family on Facebook.

Her family was everything. She loved having her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren around. The family had barbecues almost every weekend during the summer and sometimes in the winter.

LaDonna was a kind, loving, selfless woman. She went out of her way to help anyone in any way she could. We love and miss her dearly.

She is survived by her sons, Gerald Fred (Cindy), Jerome; Melvin Dale (Marla), Filer; Ronnie Eugene (Lucy), Jerome; Jamey Earl (Amy), Sultan, Washington;  Scotty Greg, Buhl;  and Shane Julius, Jerome; and her daughter Stacie Kay Carnell, Jerome; 28 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
