Vida Baisch, age 90, of Eden, Idaho, passed away at her home on April 11, 2016.
Vida graduated from Jerome High School and attended college in Albion, Idaho. She taught school in Albion, but left school teaching when World War II started. Vida moved to California, and was one of the original Rosie riveters. She worked at the base in San Diego.
Vida married Wes Harman and had 4 children. They later divorced. She worked as a writer for the North Side News, was a Justice of the Peace for Jerome County in the 1960s, and was a bookkeeper for many years.
Vida was active in the American Legion, sang in the Codas, a musical group. The Codas sang for many events winning many of the competitions they entered. She later married Eugene Baisch. Vida and Eugene lived and worked on a farm in Hazelton, Idaho. They loved being together and overcame many struggles.
Vida loved to crochet, complete crossword puzzles, and play word games and cards on the computer.
Vida was preceded in death by her husband Gene Baisch and daughter Sara (Dwight) Petersen. She is survived by her sons Kelly Harman, Lyle (Mindy) Harman, daughter Jeanne (Keith) Miller. Step children Roger Baisch, Lisa (David) Bowen, Becky Walter, and Shelly Baisch. She had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
