Danny LeRoy Addis

May 11, 1958 — March 27, 2016

Danny Leroy “Dan” Addis passed away in Twin Falls on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the age of 57.

Dan is survived by his wife, Carma; children, Brian Addis of Burley, Michael (Kelly) Addis of Boise, Marcus (Lacey) Addis of Boise, Danielle Addis of Filer; stepchildren James (Kristen) Adamson of Twin Falls, and Trisha Adamson of Boise; sisters, Penny Minear and Sue Tabor of Prescott Valley, Arizona; numerous aunts and uncles and eight grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Patricia Addis of Prescott Valley, Arizona.

Dan was born on May 11, 1958 in Kewanee, Illinois to Richard and Patricia Addis. The family moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona in 1967. He graduated from Prescott High School in 1976, and married Carol Bromenshankel.  The couple moved to Rupert, Idaho in 1977, where his oldest son Brian Daniel was born on May 6, 1978.  While in Rupert, he drove a fuel truck for Robertson’s fuel.  Dan and Carol were later divorced, and he met and married Cassie (Gold) Jensen, with whom he had two sons, Michael Richard, born on March 4, 1983 and Marcus Anthony, born on August 29, 1984.  He began working for Snake River Seed in 1980, where he stayed for over 10 years.  He and Cassie divorced in 1986.  Dan met Suzan Fisher during a short stay in Arizona and moved back to Rupert with her until 1996, when they divorced.  He met his future wife, Carma Adamson, in Twin Falls in 1996 and they were married in 1997, at which point he moved to Filer and began working for Seminis, Inc.  Dan and Carma had one daughter together, Danielle Joy, who was born on December 2, 1997.  He owned his own business in the construction industry.  At the time of his passing, he also worked for Wolverton Homes, as a project manager.  His children remember him as an extremely hard-working father who encouraged them to pursue their goals and follow their passions.

Dan was an accomplished athlete and after moving from Arizona to Idaho, he hung up his glove and ball in order to officiate. He was passionate about officiating high school, youth, and adult sports, including baseball, softball, and basketball.

He was a wonderful father and grandfather and loved by all who met him. He always had a smile on his face and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
