Pamela Kaye Gobel left us suddenly on February 21, 2016 at the age of 49, leaving behind many who were touched by her presence.
The youngest of three, she was born in Marysville, California on November 26, 1966 to Chet Gobel and Norma Lewis. As a young girl her creative mind blossomed with her love of drawing people & designing clothing. Anyone who had the pleasure of genuinely knowing Pam would all agree she was such an amazing woman, friend, mother, and wife, with a huge loving heart. What she leaves behind are memories of a whole lot of love, many smiles, laughs, and her warm glow that could brighten any room.
Her children have always been her life first and foremost, they were her world, she did an amazing job raising them into the three great people they are today. Growing up she was always receiving comments on just how well behaved those kids of hers were. Her youngest daughter is a mirror image of her mother, having received those traits that made Pam the one of a kind person she was. She raised her children well & taught them life’s most important lessons, character, respect, honesty, & humility. She taught them that doing your very best is what is most important.
The rebel of a religious household, Pam always lived her life young & free. She danced frequently & liked her music loud. Some of her youth was spent across the country soaking up the sunshine in the beautiful Florida Keys, working at the Gorgeous Ocean Reef Club. There she served people and celebrities alike, during the high time of the 80s. She loved swimming with dolphins in the ocean, avoiding barracudas, relaxing & tanning on the sunny sands of the Keys many beaches. She had many creative passions, including her passion for the restaurant industry, working other local favorites such as Buffalo Café and The Sandpiper.
Later in life, she found a new passion working customer service at Lithia Chevrolet. Her glowing personality meant she instantly became a member of this great family and was off, as though she had been there for years. She always made mention of how much she loved her job and coworkers. Her work ethic & amazing attitude made excelling and becoming a favorite easy among fellow employees and customers. Her great smile and warm friendly nature made her perfectly at home in this line of work. She was truly loved by her family away from home.
What we are left with is the legacy of a great human being. It’s hard to imagine life without her, but we know her love is never ending, and is always around each and every person who ever had the privilege of knowing her. Words cannot fully express just how deeply she will be missed and remembered by all.
Pam is predeceased by her Parents Chet Gobel and Norma Gobel. She is survived by her siblings, Cheryl Partridge and Richard Gobel; Children Nikkii Tappero, Jordan Salinas and Micheal Salinas; and Husband Steve Montoya.
