Paul Pina Quintana, 62 of Meridian Idaho passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho surrounded by his loved ones. He was born January 15, 1954. He lost his parents early in life and was adopted, raised, and preceded in death by Louis and Vivian Bourquin of Filer, Idaho. He graduated from Filer High School in 1973. He married Christina Squires (Green) and had two daughters, Sadie and Jennifer. He graduated from College of Southern Idaho as a Licensed Practical Nurse so beginning his long career in nursing. He loved the outdoors, BSU and Denver Broncos, gambling, and helping others. He was sometimes stubborn but he was also very witty and caring. He always made people laugh and would do anything to help someone in need. He could always be heard saying, “That’s not how Chef Ramsey does it!” and “Don’t be a sissy la-la.” He spent many years traveling the Northwest camping during the summers and working the rest of the year to support that habit. He made his final home in Meridian and found the job of his dreams working at TRHS Allumbaugh House in Boise and Karcher Estates in Nampa. Helping others with their recovery was his passion. He was proud of his second family at the Boise chapter of N.A. In recent years he was able to witness two of his three granddaughters’ graduate high school and the marriage of Monica Sellin, who he loved so much that he also considered her a daughter. There were numerous Vegas and Jackpot trips with his daughters because he wanted to make memories doing one of the things he loved the most. He is survived by his daughters Sadie Quintana and Jennifer Virnig, his granddaughters Memphis Virnig, Meghan and Becca Gillies, his sister and brother in law Liz and Bill Clifford, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and of course his trophy wife, Heather Frith. Those of you who know this story will find the humor here. His wishes were to be cremated and his ashes spread with his brother Daniel Quintana and his best friend in life and death, his dog Huckleberry. A celebration of life will be planned in the upcoming months. He wanted to have this celebration of laughter and happiness to share wonderful memories and funny stories. Arrangements will be made by his family and notification will be sent out through Facebook. Please leave a message here with an email address where you can be contacted if you are not online.
