José M Gonzalez 1939 ~ 2016   José M Gonzalez, 76 of Twin Falls Idaho passed away February 16, 2016 at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho with his loving family by his side. José was born October 19, 1939 in Laredo, Texas to Torivio and Aurora Gonzalez.  He grew up and attended schools in Laredo, Texas and then moved to Twin Falls, Idaho in 1960.  There he met and married the love of his life, Alicia Soto in 1961. José held many jobs working at the Amalgamated Sugar Company, bartending at the St. Regis bar, firefighter for the US Forest Service, and finally retired from Pet Milk in Buhl Idaho, after 25 years of service. José love the outdoors where he fished, hunted, and loved camping with his family. He loved to barbecue, enjoyed driving his beautiful cars and wearing stylish clothes.  José was very fond of his longtime friends and enjoy going to Jackpot, Nevada casinos. Surviving José is his loving wife, Alicia; stepson, Danny (Kandy) Soto; Corinna Lavala, Peter (Persi) Gonzalez; Robert Gonzales, Yolanda (Robert) Gonzalez; Freddy Gonzalez and 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. José was preceded in death by his parents, son, Art Gonzalez, and great-grandson, Caius Martinez. A celebration of José’s life will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at 11 AM at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls, ID with Pastor Domingo Jiminez Jr. presiding.
