Following his service in the 2nd World War, Jim married Lorene Betty Kallaus on September 11, 1948 in Riverside, Iowa at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. A prankster in his youth, he became a dedicated family man and, with Betty, raised 5 children. They spent most of their married life in Twin Falls. Jim leaves three daughters, Sue Etter and Lori Peterson, of Twin Falls, Idaho, Lisa Wales, of Huntersville, North Carolina, and two sons, Jay Yeggy (Marilyn) of Meridian, Idaho and Jeff Yeggy (Becky) of Twin Falls, Idaho. Jim was a grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Eldon Yeggy and a grandson, Mick James Peterson.
Jim was happiest when he was helping others, mostly doing any repair that was asked of him. He was a fixer until the end. He was a passionate golfer and played up until he was 90 years young. He was known as a kind, gracious, and wise man.
Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at Parke's Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd. Twin Falls, ID with burial following at Twin Falls Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Wendy and Rhonda of Harrison Hope Hospice of Twin Falls for the compassionate and loving care they provided our dad and the support they generously gave the family.
