Jose Manuel Gonzalez, Sr.

Jose Manuel Gonzalez Rameriz (6/16/1958-1/26/2016) passed away peacefully

at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday January 26th 2016 at his home in Jackpot, Nevada.  At the

time of his passing, he was surrounded by his loving family.  His greatest joy in

life was his family who he dearly loved. 

Jose was a hard worker who dedicated the past 35 years working as a custodian

at Jackpot Combined Schools. He and his lovely wife, Lucila, worked side by side

as a team for the past 23 years making sure the school’s facilities were ready for

the students each day.

In his off time, Jose loved to spend time with his family and play with the family

dog, Bruno.  He was always teaching Bruno new tricks and taught him to spin at

the point of a finger.  Jose loved to work in his yard and took great pride in its

appearance.  He has one of the most manicured yards on the block.

Jose loved to dance and never left his house without his cowboy hat and his

favorite white dancing boots.  He attended multiple concerts and Latin Nights

often being mistaken for the famous Latin singer Ramon Ayala.  Jose was a great

man and will be missed by many.  He was a hero to his family.

Jose is survived by Lucila his wife of 26 years, sons Manuel (Nohemi), and

Ernesto, daughters, Maria, Dalia and his other daughter Hiliana.  Jose was

preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe, two brothers, one sister, and son

Daniel.  He is also survived by his mother, Clofas Rameriz, four sisters and

several grandchildren:  Kristin, Perla, Bryan, Adrian and Andres.

A viewing will be held Sunday January 31st between 1-5 p.m. and Monday

February 1st between 5-7 p.m. at Parkes Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Road,

Twin Falls, Idaho.  A Rosary will follow after the Monday viewing at 7 p.m. 

Services will be held at St. Edwards Catholic Church February 2, 2016 at 10:00AM.
