Victoria "Vicki" Beatrice Poindexter

March 24, 1925 — January 22, 2016

Victoria ”Vicki” Beatrice Poindexter, age 90 left this world to be with her Savior on Friday, January 22, 2016.

She was born one of 10 children, to Carolyn and John Meyer and Clover, Idaho on March 24, 1925.  She attended school and church in the community.  Her sister, Atie Cox of Apple Valley, California is her only remaining sibling. 

On October 1, 1944, Vicki married Howard Jones in Elko, Nevada.  They had four children, Shirley Cunningham, Karen (Ray) Lewis, Denny (Lavone) Jones, and Craig (Barbara) Jones of Buhl, ID.
They later divorced.  Vicki later married Darryl Calhoun of Buhl, and they had one son, Kent Calhoun (Leo) of Sebastopol, California.  They later divorced. Vicki then married James Poindexter and lived in Idaho Falls for 25 years where she worked as a waitress.  She returned to Twin Falls where she remained until her passing.

 Vicki was preceded in death by her husband James and her daughter Shirley.
 Surviving Vicki are her above-mentioned children, six grandchildren, Rita (Stan) Walker and Renita Tolman of Twin Falls, Jeff (Joni) Jones of Buhl, Chris Jones of Dickinson, North Dakota, Jennifer Jones of Meridian, and Angie Watkins of Meridian, six great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed.  Rest in peace, Mom!

At Vicki’s request there will be no services or visitation.
