Daniel “Danny” Stover, age 87 of Kimberly, Idaho passed away January 11, 2016 of complications due to pneumonia, at home with his caregiver and friend, Katie C. Flores by his side.

Danny was born in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Wasa and Lillian Stover.  He attended school there and also in Bakersfield, California.   Upon graduation, he joined the Army in 1947.  He was very proud to be able to serve.

Daniel met the love of his life, Dora Huettig in the 1930’s.  They were married in 1947 in Ketchum, Idaho, a few years later.  They became the owners of the famous Shoshone Ice Caves.  They sold the establishment prior to Dora’s passing in 2005.

Daniel love to visit and regale you with his stories about growing up as a dedicated, grateful Creek Indian. Canoeing and fishing were in his blood, he liked to say.

Surviving Daniel is his companion a caregiver for many years, Katie Flores.  He also leaves behind nieces and nephews, and numerous good friends.

Funeral services for Danny will be held January, 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls.  Private inurnment will be held at a later date.
