James Andrew Jackson, 68, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away December 24, 2015 at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls.
He was born December 28, 1946 in Tifton, Georgia. Following his graduation from high school he served his country in the US Marine Corps. He worked his life as a truck driver seeing all of the United States, Canada and Mexico, driving accident free for fifty plus years. He was lovingly referred to as Mr. Atlas, because of his extensive knowledge of the highways and byways.
James was married to Josephine Cichoracki. To this union were born two children. They later divorced and he married Patsy Lyons. Together they lived a full life with their beloved poodle Ladybug.
Surviving James are his wife Patsy of Twin Falls, daughter Jennifer Anna (Ben) Jones of Colorado Springs, Colorado, step children – Janet (Andy) Anderson of Garnet, Kansas, Brian (Janie) Castleberry of Twin Falls, brother – Ron Phillips of Georgia, along with seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Joseph Warner, along with five brothers and three sisters. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will host a life center celebration of life at James’s favorite fishing hole in the summer.
Arrangements are under the caring direction of Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
