Lois loved being outside and being married to a miner there were many summers the family would join Gordon wherever he was mining, spending the whole summer living in the great outdoors, she was also a very good shot and had to take care of a pesky rattlesnake or two that found their way into camp. Lois loved spending time with her kids, hiking and exploring the mountainsides, there were also many story books read to her kids usually sitting under a magnificent pine tree. She loved life and people even through the hard times she had to face after Gordon passed away in 1977, working very hard to support her family.
