Richard Lee Kroft, 92, died peacefully at home on December 1, 2015.
He was born to Harry and Josephine Kroft on May 1, 1923, the fourth of five children. He grew up on a farm in David City, NE.
He married the love of his life, Lois, in 1946. They moved to Idaho and owned a farm in Eden. After a few years, they moved to California where he held a number of different jobs, including construction worker, salesman, and caterer, but the chiropractic profession was what spoke to his heart. He was a chiropractor for more than 40 years, with his practice known as The Healing Touch.
After living in California, Arizona and Montana, he returned to Idaho about 50 years later. Back in Idaho, he enjoyed being the back and shoulder rubber at the Over 60 exercise class.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife Lois, his daughter Jolene, one grandson, his mother and father, and his three brothers, Gerald, Lyle, and Robert. He is remembered and loved by his daughter and son-in-law Susan and Alan McIntosh, his son-in-law Jeffrey Hoppe, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, his sister Doris, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. It was an honor and a joy to know him.
He enriched the lives of many, and the wisdom and love he imparted to his family will live on. The family wants to thank Idaho Home Health & Hospice for their loving care of Richard.
A memorial service and celebration of Richard's life will be held in the Spring. Cremation was under the caring direction of Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls. Those who wish may share memories and condolences on his memorial page at www.magicvalleyfuneralhome.com
