Gina Lee Ostyn Hankins August 30, 1958 – November 29, 2015 Gina Lee Hankins, age 57, passed away suddenly on November 29, 2015 at her home in Twin Falls, Idaho. Gina was born on August 30, 1958 in Jerome, Idaho. To Paul and Joyce Ostyn.
Gina graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1976 and married Mike Hankins that same year. She began working at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center shortly after graduation in the Dietary Dept. and was there for over 20 years. During that time she and her husband raised two daughters, Emilee Ruth (B. 1981) and Erica Dawn (B. 1984). Later she went on to work for the Twin Falls School District at Robert Stuart Jr. High as a “Lunch Lady”.
Gina’s home was always open to everyone and she was considered “Mom” to many. Gina had many interests including politics, reading, motorcycling, camping, going to concerts and more recently, singing karaoke at the Klover Klub.
Because of Gina’s accepting and warm personality, she was never discriminating and called everyone “Friend”. Self-improvement was a priority to her and she read many books on this topic.
Gina is survived by her daughter; Erica Cruz of Twin Falls, her parents; Paul and Joyce Ostyn of Twin Falls, three siblings; Bruce Ostyn (Daniel) of Green Valley, Arizona, Danna Johnson of Twin Falls, Gabe Ostyn (Jennifer) of Twin Falls and four nieces, and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Emilee.
Services will be held Tuesday, December 22nd at 3:00 pm at Parke’s Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Rd., Twin Falls ID.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Twin Falls Humane Society.
